Nestled against the majestic backdrop of Southern Africa's highest mountain range, my recent stay at this award-winning four-star self-catering mountain village offered an intriguing blend of traditional and modern elements. The views from my chalet were undoubtedly breathtaking; a serene setting complemented by manicured lawns and access to numerous trails. The accommodation, while basic, was well-equipped and cozy, managing to provide comfort against the region's winter chill. With excellent facilities, including a variety of activities such as archery and tennis, there was no shortage of options for family entertainment. The communal braai area was a thoughtful addition, catering to diverse dietary needs with a dedicated halaal section. While the staff were generally polite and well-trained, I encountered occasional lapses in assistance, particularly with large groups of children. A visit to the nearby ALL OUT Adventures is advisable for those seeking an adrenaline boost. This destination merits a visit; three nights is ideal for fully appreciating its offerings and striking surroundings.
